Hi, I’m Valentina – the founder of valentinART.
What started as a small hobby in 2024 unexpectedly turned into my profession. I’ve always loved creating things with my hands. Crochet was my creative escape – until people started asking if they could buy my bags and wanted to learn how they were made.
Without a big plan, a passion slowly became a handmade business.
Today, I design and create every bag myself and bring people together through my workshops to discover their own creativity. For me, valentinART is a place for honest craftsmanship, mindful moments, meaningful connections, and the joy of creating something with your own hands.
why valentinart?
The name combines my first name, Valentina, with my biggest passion: ART.
Creativity has always been a part of my life and remains at the heart of everything I do. Since valentinART is a one-woman business, it felt natural to make the brand personal and let my own name become part of it.
You might have already noticed the little snail in my logo.
It represents Really Slow Fashion – fashion that isn’t created quickly and replaced easily, but made with patience, care, and attention to detail.
But the snail also carries a personal meaning: “schnecke” has been my nickname since childhood. It connects the values of valentinART with a small piece of my own story.

I want to show that crochet is anything but old-fashioned.
To me, it is modern craftsmanship: creative, timeless, and full of possibilities. Every piece is made slowly and intentionally, carrying its own story – a little counter-movement to fast fashion and mass production.
Every bag is created stitch by stitch by hand. Not because it is the quickest way, but because that is exactly where its value lies.
Sustainability is a big part of valentinART. That’s why I use almost exclusively textile yarn made from 100% recycled leftovers from the fashion and textile industry. Materials that already have a story get a second life and become unique pieces to treasure.
But valentinART is about more than bags.
Through workshops and events, I want to bring people closer to creative craftsmanship again. A place where you can slow down, put your phone aside for a moment, and simply enjoy creating something with your own hands.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about trying something new, learning, making mistakes, laughing, and feeling proud of something you created yourself.
My workshops are meant to be an open and welcoming space for everyone – whether you’re picking up a crochet hook for the first time or already have experience. Everyone works at their own pace and is free to simply be creative.
And often, these moments create more than just handmade projects – they create conversations, friendships, and a community connected by the joy of making.
